The dumping of doggos is becoming an all too common thing in this world. Blame it on overflowing shelters or hoomans who simply do not care. The problem persistently exists and this story is just one such case out of thousands where a dumped dog was found, scared out of its mind. Terrified of what might happen to it.

Rescuing dogs is a strange kind of activity. It is not something you can schedule in advance, it is not something you can fully prepare for or be prepared for at every moment of your life. It is something that finds you, often when you least expect it, and when it does it often changes your life, if not furever, then at least for the duration. And you can most certainly say that this abandoned pup came as a surprise to the kind couple who rescued him. Though more surprising than the pup was their journey to find his pawrents.

As any good animal lover would do, these hoomans turned to the pawfessionals at the shelters. But much to their surprise, there was absolutely no space for this doggo. Leaving the couple to care for it and hopefully manage to find its pawrents. Now, this couple really did all the right things, they tried their best, but as any good fan of canine rescue stories can tell you, that pup had been dumped and most certainly did not have a family looking for him. And more than that, the moment he began to trust in this couple, was the moment they unknowingly adopted him.

Goodness what a situation to be in. the situation this couple have found themselves in is so painfully common, shelters, especially the ones who do not put puppers to sleep, are full to the brim, overflowing even. And if a dog is not in critical condition, they simply cannot stretch themselves any further than they already are. Though in a certain sense it is a pawsitive thing, seeing how scared this poor pup was to begin with. Being left at the shelter would only exaggerate that fear. This way the pup gets to stay with the people who have so far been kind to him and slowly build a relationship of trust with them.

Honestly, you have to love this couple’s innocence. At least from the side this sounds like a classic dumped canine story. Dogs who run away from home are not usually so afraid, after all they made the choice themselves. Nor are they usually so dirty and smelly. That sounds like the work of a traumatic act that left the dog in a tailspin. Living in survival mode, senses on fire as it tries to calm down from the pain it has just incurred. But at least for the time being he has these hoomans who he has learned to trust in.
